I started collecting plants in 2020, during one of the hardest years of my life. I’d just been laid off, moved back to Texas to start over, and lost my dog to cancer. In her memory, I bought a plant—and something shifted. Even in sadness, I kept building beauty around me. What began as comfort became a ritual. A way to bring peace into uncertain places.
When I finally moved back to the East Coast, I created the home I’d always dreamed of—one that felt like physical peace, a vacation, a retreat. Over time, friends asked me to help them feel that same stillness in their own homes. That’s how Eden by Joyia began: a love letter to healing, to style, to spaces that grow with you.
Eden is not just about plants—it’s about presence. It’s about feeling connected, grounded, and accomplished in your own space. Plants have taught me that growth is quiet, patient, and personal. Styling them in ways that reflect who you are—the colors you love, the textures that calm you, the corners that call for softness—turns a home into a sanctuary.
